Taking a closer look at the students who completed the Star Reading and Math assessments, it became clear that these students were not necessarily representative of the larger population of students that typically take the Star assessments and that some of the tests scores were different than expected with students in early grades showing somewhat higher test scores than they had in prior school years; possibly from students receiving parental assistance when completing assessments.
